R-Drive Image Backup Software 4.5 Review

R-Drive Image Backup is shareware and you can buy it for $44.95. The publisher is R-Tools technology and the file size is almost 12 mb. For the purpose of backup or duplication, this software creates disk image files. A disk image file is an exact copy of a hard drive, partition or logical disc – byte by byte.

The idea is to store drive images in a convenient, safe and easily retrievable location. This can include removable media. Once the drive image is stored, it can be restored on the hard disk, other partitions or on the free space of the HD. The partition can be restored via a special bootable diskette.

If you choose, you can restore only certain files from the disk image. All you have to do is connect the disk image as a virtual disk then copy those files directly from the disk image using a Windows utility like Windows Explorer.

You can try out this software using the free 15 day trial before buying. The trial version allows you to do everything except creating and restoring a disk image.

There are many reasons to own a software such as R-Drive Image Backup. One good reason is the importance of data and the ever prevalent threat of data loss. Data can be lost due to viruses, power failure and several other reasons. This sometimes means a loss of thousands of dollars. Insure your data by getting a good data backup software.
