SQL Backup and FTP 3.0 Review

SQL Backup and FTP is freeware and does not cost a cent. It is published by Pranas.net and is over half a megabyte in size. Well a free download can’t hurt, but why is this software worth your time and disk space, you ask, well, here is why.

With this software, you can schedule daily jobs to backup your SQL Server Databases. You can reduce file size by zipping the backups. Save it on LAN or FTP the backups to a remote server as you please. You will also get an email confirmation of success or failure of the job.
This software is unique because it is so simple to use. It is an all in one utility for the whole backup process. A similar software can easily cost $200, this one is free. You just can’t beat all this. The creators have years in .NET and SQL server experience, you get a credible software from credible creators when you get this one.

SQL Backup and FTP should be used for any SQL server database where daily backup scheduling has to be done. You can’t use it if several backups a day are needed, and differential backups are needed. Encrypted backups and shared hosting are not ideal for this software’s use either.
